Last year we released some new and exciting planter ranges – the largest of these ranges in variants of sizes and for the largest planter available is the Dhow. We had an order for 3 of our Dhow6 planters, these are highly impressive in size in their own right - 1830x400x775mm, and to make the planters even more exciting we were required to add some bespoke buxus hedges to the planters. The colour of the planters were required to be kept simple so that they could be used in order to work with the natural environment that they’re in, not detract from it. The buxus hedge was created using a glass fibre frame so that it would be strong, stable and wouldn’t rot away. We finished 2 planters in our textured brilliant white and the final planter in our textured jet black. Each planter was filled up on site with weighting so that these boats wouldn’t rock!

Once the planters were installed we took a visit to take some photographs of the bespoke hedge planters in position of some of these lovely new homes. We think that these planters bring a great sense of elegance and style to the environment. We are happy with the final results of these planters and believe that these hedges bring an extra special element to the final site’s design – the contractor is delighted with the final planters as they believe they incredibly well manufactured and capture the branding style of their client down to a tee!

Back in June we were asked by a local landscaping company, to supply them with some bespoke artificial hedging that they required to complete an ongoing job that they were in the midst of. They created 30 bespoke boxes which were to fit into the pergola that they manufactured themselves to fit into the exterior patio space at the restaurant.

We were supplied with the boxes in which we needed to fit a bespoke buxus hedging system to the top of them. We created glass fibre tops, this is the best way to be sure that they will last and not collapse or rot away, in which the hedging could be attached to – each hedge was only 20cm tall but they sure make an impact when finished and attached to the boxes.

Once the job was installed by the contractors, we went to see the finished job and take some pictures of the hedges in all of their glory. We loved creating these mini hedges and how something so small managed to bring something so large together. We always revel in having new bespoke projects to create especially when the results are so good and the main thing is, the client is delighted.

It’s been two weeks since the Coblands Trade Show finished and we’re getting back into the swing of things at Livingreen Design. We met a large number of excited garden designers and landscapers who loved our products; and the rides around the nursery in golf buggies. It was a wonderful opportunity to listen to our potential customers and find out what they really need from a planter supplier and the limitless potential that our planters can bring to their designs. It was a highly enjoyable experience which provided us with space to promote our planters in the south of England; for those that couldn’t make it to our showroom in Edinburgh to see our new ranges. We hope that everyone loved having a sneak peek at our new planters (that we are going to be launching very soon) as much as we enjoyed presenting our work. Finally, a big thank you to everyone that came to visit us and also to Coblands Nurseries for having us at their Tonbridge Nursery. Watch this space for our new ranges.

Exploring the planters in the showroom and there are some great colours on show. This small Cylik planter in stardust gold adds glitz and glamour to any room. The gold colour would be perfect for Christmas displays as you could plant small Christmas tress on top.

Have a look at our Cylik range and why not look at other ranges while you're at it.
