Last year we released some new and exciting planter ranges – the largest of these ranges in variants of sizes and for the largest planter available is the Dhow. We had an order for 3 of our Dhow6 planters, these are highly impressive in size in their own right - 1830x400x775mm, and to make the planters even more exciting we were required to add some bespoke buxus hedges to the planters. The colour of the planters were required to be kept simple so that they could be used in order to work with the natural environment that they’re in, not detract from it. The buxus hedge was created using a glass fibre frame so that it would be strong, stable and wouldn’t rot away. We finished 2 planters in our textured brilliant white and the final planter in our textured jet black. Each planter was filled up on site with weighting so that these boats wouldn’t rock!

Once the planters were installed we took a visit to take some photographs of the bespoke hedge planters in position of some of these lovely new homes. We think that these planters bring a great sense of elegance and style to the environment. We are happy with the final results of these planters and believe that these hedges bring an extra special element to the final site’s design – the contractor is delighted with the final planters as they believe they incredibly well manufactured and capture the branding style of their client down to a tee!

Now that’s impressive!

Here’s a sneak peak of an ongoing project at Edinburgh Airport which we just couldn’t wait to show you. By combining our 1.5m white replica Flowerbombe cone with a standard polished black Kubik, our customer has created an incredible 2.3m fantasy, absolutely perfect for a stunning entrance way. Complimenting this are beautiful 4 ball eucalyptus topiary in the main restaurant areas and soon to be joined by 18m of mixed artificial lavender based troughing – updates to follow!

In this case as with most of our replica work, we carried out all the planting up, sealing them in with resin coated slate for the perfect finish. The completed units were then delivered to site for our customer to place – no effort required and an amazing result!

Why not join the growing legion of landscapers taking advantage of our replica plant up and delivery service? No chemicals, no mess, no effort and for minimal extra cost. Delivery to your customer’s site even saves you the cost of getting the units and plants to your own site if you were doing the work. So its win win all round.

Remember we offer a unique range of stunningly beautiful replica, all sharply contemporary and perfect for the modern urban environment. We can supply FR treated and also in FR rated pots. And we are big in Buxus! Try us for your next replica box hedge quotes – we offer pre built hedges integral to the plater in any size, height, length or shape – including curves.

Bespoke Curved Rust Planters

We were asked by a local Garden Design company in Edinburgh, Twig Garden Design, to help them create a set of bespoke corten steel effect planting beds. These planting beds were created especially for a balcony in the heart of Edinburgh’s Quartermile district. Twig supplied us with this envisaged idea and our technical team helped to create 3D drawing of the planters in question. These planters were created in our rust (corten steel) finish as creating the planter out of real metal would have caused some real problems as they were to be planted on a small balcony and weight was a real issue. As well as the corten steel planters were asked to create a set of barriers with cut-outs so they could be placed over existing lighting on the balcony structure.

The planters were created on time and within the budget set and collected by the Twig Garden Design team who said they loved them as soon as they saw them.

Now that the job has been completed we have been given these beautiful photographs to show what the finished planters look like all planted up. The bespoke corten steel planters look magnificently rugged alongside the sharp, modern design of the furniture and surrounding balcony structure. It makes it appear that there is a small rural piece of land on the balcony in the heart of a busy city. The barriers look exquisite at night with the lights shining in the alcoves of the cut-outs, it is amazing what you can achieve with a simple design.
